In response to the recent events in the state of California regarding the attack upon God’s sacred institutions of marriage and family, we ask you to earnestly consider participating in a nation wide period of 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer. Use this sheet to guide you as you prepare for the fast, and we will be teaching on fasting on Sunday, September 21 so you may be well prepared. The battle of God’s truth is waging heavy and it is time for His people to seriously and passionately call upon our God for deliverance.

Tips on how to use your extra time:
- Hold family devotions and Bible studies.
- Watch Biblical movies or play Bible Trivia games as a family
- Spend time journaling your thoughts and revelations from the sermons and studies.
- Spend time just assessing your life ad God’s plan for you.
- Loan & borrow books, CDs or DVDs from other Zion members.
- Exercise or walk to Christian music each day
- Expect to hear from God and intentionally spend time listening
- Use your lunch hour for bible study, maybe start group.
- Attend the upcoming special events
- Make Sunday a true Sabbath by resting and restoring time with your family and God – no plans, errands, etc.
